Colorado Record Sealing Attorney

Your Past Doesn't Have to Define Your Future

Colorado's record sealing laws have changed dramatically in recent years. Many people who once believed they would live with a criminal record forever may now qualify to have that record removed from public view.

If you have an old arrest, dismissed case, misdemeanor, felony, or other criminal matter, don't assume you aren't eligible.

Let us determine whether Colorado's new record sealing laws can help you move forward.

WHY CHOOSE TED MCCLINTOCK

For nearly thirty years I have represented people accused of crimes throughout Colorado. As both a former prosecutor and an experienced criminal defense attorney, I understand how criminal cases are investigated, resolved, and how a criminal record can continue affecting your life long after your case is over.

Today my goal is simple: help people move forward. Every week I speak with individuals who believe they have no options. Many are surprised to learn Colorado law has changed and they may now qualify to seal their criminal record.

If your case qualifies, our office will guide you through every step of the process.

Colorado's Record Sealing Laws Have Changed

Colorado significantly expanded record sealing opportunities beginning with the Colorado Clean Slate Act in 2022, followed by additional legislative expansions. Many records that once could never be sealed may now qualify, and some records are sealed automatically while others still require filing a petition.

Don't rely on advice you received years ago. Have your record reviewed under today's law.

A criminal record can affect employment, housing, licensing, education, promotions, volunteer opportunities and peace of mind.

When a record is properly sealed it is generally removed from public view. In many situations Colorado law allows individuals to lawfully deny the existence of a sealed case when applying for private employment or housing, although exceptions exist for certain government agencies and others authorized by law.
