Sex Crimes Defense Lawyers Who Get Results

At McClintock & McClintock P.C., we believe the background, knowledge and experience of our attorneys combine to give our clients the best possible chance of success in cases involving sex offenses.

We know the sex offense statutes better than anyone in the state and we use our knowledge and skill to help our clients achieve the best possible result.

Attorney Ted McClintock founded this firm in October 2000, after spending five years as a deputy district attorney in El Paso and Teller Counties and a year working for a criminal defense law firm. Attorney Elizabeth McClintock joined the practice a year later.

While working for the DA's office, Ted McClintock was in charge of the Sexual Offense, Crimes Against Children Unit; which is known today as the Special Victims Unit (SVU). While prosecuting sex crimes, he saw how poorly many criminal defense attorneys handled these cases, needlessly exposing their clients to significant negative consequences.

A Reputation for Success in Sex Crime Cases

After Ted founded this firm, other attorneys who knew of his background in sex offense cases began sending clients his way. They knew and trusted his experience and knowledge of this complex area of law.

Elizabeth McClintock spent time as deputy district attorney in the Office of the Fourth Judicial District Attorney. A significant portion of her time at the DA's office was spent prosecuting juvenile sexual offenses and felony cases. She has also handled hundreds of criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings and has argued numerous times before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court.

Our Team Approach

Elizabeth continues to focus on appeals and post-conviction work and also co-chairs every case set for trial by the firm. When a case is set for trial, Elizabeth is generally the litigator to file and argue motions before the courts. Both partners try the cases to juries, splitting the work equally.

Our firm reached national notoriety when it handled the defense of Mr. Gary Hill in 2005. Mr. Hill, a previous client, was charged with first-degree murder. The verdict rendered in Mr. Hill's case was an acquittal of all charges filed against him.
