Elizabeth McClintock (formerly Chapman) graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Colorado and began practicing law with the Pueblo firm of Koncilja & Koncilja, P.C. During that time, Elizabeth's practice focused primarily on plaintiff's personal injury, worker's compensation and social security litigation and she was able to work on a few criminal defense cases. Because criminal law was her primary interest, Elizabeth began working at the Office of the Fourth Judicial District Attorney in 1996. During her years as a Deputy District Attorney (D.D.A.), she worked in the County, Juvenile and District Courts, litigating a range of cases from traffic violations to serious felony offenses. A significant portion of her time at the D.A.'s Office was spent prosecuting juvenile sexual offenses and direct file felony cases in the District Court.

After leaving the D.A.'s Office, Elizabeth opened her own criminal defense law practice focusing on criminal appeals and other post-conviction proceedings. In law school, this had been Elizabeth's primary career goal as legal research and writing were her favorite areas of study and she had successfully argued three cases in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court before graduating. In 2001, Elizabeth joined Ted McClintock in forming the criminal defense law firm of McClintock & McClintock, P.C. While in private practice, she has handled hundreds of criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings and has argued numerous times before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. Currently, Elizabeth continues to focus on appeals and post conviction work and also co-chairs every case set for trial by the firm. When a case is set for trial, Elizabeth is generally the litigator to file and argue motions before the courts and then the two partners try the cases to juries, splitting the work equally. Elizabeth will occasionally work on an appeal that involves civil litigation, but her primary focus is criminal defense.
